There are lots of people who call themselves real life\u00a0superheroes. \u00a0I have seen thousands of people make up myspace or facebook profiles proclaiming themselves real life\u00a0superheroes. I have seen hundreds of people come on forums proclaiming themselves real life\u00a0superheroes. \u00a0Out of these\u00a0thousands\u00a0and thousands of people I have seen only a small amount\u00a0actually\u00a0live up to the term. \u00a0Many people who actually go out and do things don’t\u00a0necessarily\u00a0live up to the term.
\nBeing a real life superhero is not just about wearing a costume and hitting the streets.
\nIt is about working\u00a0consistently\u00a0to make positive change in your community. \u00a0It is about being a good person in and out of your\u00a0uniform.
\nBeing a positive example.
\nActing\u00a0appropriately.
\nOperating safe and efficient.
\nFollowing the law.
\nHelping all those that you can.
\nBeing a role model.
\nBeing humble.
\nGoing above and beyond to help others and make a difference.
\nI have been witness to many calling themselves RLSH and many who are widely known and accepted as RLSH not being what they claim.
\nMany have made false claims, made up stories, fake exploits, fake injuries, fake accomplishments, etc.
\nMany act\u00a0inappropriately. \u00a0Saying and doing irresponsible things, talk of violence & vigilantism, objectifying women,\u00a0committing\u00a0illegal acts, pulling out weapons on unarmed civilians, showboating, seeking fame, and doing this for selfish reasons.
\nPeople who do these things have no right being called a real life superhero.
\nAnyone involved in this I ask what do you stand for?
\nWhat do you stand for as a person?
\nWhat do you stand for as a real life superhero?
