Far from the\u00a0hippies and lunatics mainstream conservatives label all Occupiers, they are passionate about individualism and\u00a0preserving safety for all participants.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>To that end several fights among homeless non-Occupiers\u00a0were broken up and today I forcibly restrained an assailant who&#8217;d sucker punched Doc, a lead security committee member and Vietnam combat veteran.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>We also enjoy an excellent relationship with the New Orleans Police Department who&#8217;s been called when arrests were required.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>I support Americans peacefully airing our concerns whether their label is Tea Party or Occupy Wall Street.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Beneath\u00a0media partisanship I see this as\u00a0a moratorium on the failed promises of\u00a0past and present\u00a0Administrations and am proud that people are willing to give so much to highlight persistent problems eroding national quality of life.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Helping secure Occupy New Orleans is my modest contribution to a process that hopefully will spur much needed change.
