LET'S RESOLVE TO BE BETTER AMERICANS!

I assume personal responsibility for helping ( in my minute way ) to creatively preserve public safety and homeland security. This comes deep from within my soul because by nature I am a very shy person loathe to call attention upon myself.
I’m called to do this.. as are many of you.
How can I do nothing when God blessed me to be the same kind of American as Harriet Tubman. I too try to lead captives to freedom, first within themselves by turning urban pain into patriotism and through peaceful petitioning of appropriate authorities for redress.

How can I not lawfully patrol the streets of my community when Teddy Roosevelt charged up San Juan Hill? Overshadowed by this example how can I not challenge the ” San Juan Hill ” of my day, inner city crime? Even better, this is done as a volunteer, much like future President Roosevelt did in Cuba that fateful day.

I simply must try opening doors to fuller participation in society given what Jackie Robinson did, in and out of professional baseball!

Jackie Robinson, in military uniform, becomes the first African American to sign with a white professional baseball team. He signs a contract with the minor league club in Montreal, a farm team for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
America has given me too many standard bearers to accept being less than I am.
Let’s resolve to be even better Americans as hard times continue grinding spirits to dust.
Let’s resolve to be better Americans so our unity cows enemies near and far not to spill more innocent blood. 
We have to be better Americans.
We have no other honorable choice!

THE NEED FOR POLITICALLY ACTIVE RLSH.

As a politically active ” real life superhero ” ( RLSH ) activist my conservatism has lately rankled the community’s liberal center.
This is sad since the common culture of creative activism made for  remarkably open-minded interaction in the four years since I adopted my ” Cap Black ” name to cover my broad range of activities.
They prefer we have a neutral stance on political issues, serving as impartial referees insuring folks on opposite sides of issues play fair.

That’s a commendable position though I feel, limiting. Inherent in the premise of RLSH activism is unlimited expression of civic duty.
I am an unlimited person. My creative crime prevention and homeless outreach have always been accompanied by political advocacy, especially on cultural and partisan issues where silence is tantamount to death in inner cities I serve.

It seems some more liberal RLSH are extremely uncomfortable with Black members ( not that there are many ) whose activism extends far beyond confines they narrowly consider acceptable.
RLSH are private citizens and as such are free to promote whatever social or political message they are called to champion.
The need for politically active RLSH is at least as great as the need for crime prevention and homeless outreach. One can easily argue that political reform in turn enhances public safety and quality of life.
That’s been my life long position and continues to be so.

Not only are politically active RLSH needed but I add politically conservative ones are definitely required too! America needs creative champions for traditional values liberals in office and conventional activism have all but destroyed.
I am a politically active RLSH. I am also a politically conservative RLSH.
The last time I looked neither fact was a crime.
I’m also not the only one.
I just speak up about it while others do so quietly behind code names and colorful outfits.
Another name for RLSH is ” American. ”

It’s been brought to my attention that a RLSH is planning to lay down in front of a streetcar someplace to get his point across. Two reasons this is a horrible idea:
A. Streetcars don’t stop on a dime.
B. Some guy down here at the RNC just tried that stunt, by laying across the highway and all he did was piss people off for interfering with “their day” . I never even heard what his cause was… just that people wanted to kick his ass. you could die, all you’ll do is piss people off. Think of another way. Chain yourself to a tree or something.

NEIL ARMSTRONG; RIP & WARP SPEED!

I was three when I watched him walk down that ladder and make fiction fact.
It didn’t matter that he was a distant White man with NASA and I was a Black school teacher’s kid in a Southern town weaned on science fiction and adventure stories.
Armstrong wasn’t a ” White ” man as I recall the hush that befell Black America. He was ” Our ” man, a fellow American who did something that showed friend and foe alike in this country that impossible needed to be re-defined.
In 1969 America had alot dividing it but on that day we briefly put differences aside to marvel at what one of our own had accomplished.
We sorely need unifying moments like this now.

As the presidential season super heats over the coming months race baiters Left and Right will seek to pit us against each other for partisan gain!Speaking as one American, I call myself ” Cap Black. ” Occasionally some try to make it a racial thing by mistakenly assuming I’m only FOR Black people to the exclusion of everyone else???
WRONG!!!!!!!!!
I’m Cap Black, Black Life Superhero For Everyone ( including crime victims of chocolate Klansmen and abortionists ) because of five principles comprising my definition of ” Black: ”
*BROTHERHOOD: G-d knows we’ll need TONS more of that as spin goes into warp drive!
*LOYALTY: Never forget fidelity to your Country; Family; Community.
*ABILITY: Use EVERYTHING THE Creator down loaded in you at conception.
*COURAGE: Don’t be afraid to do what you think is right- even if you’re the ONLY one who things so!
*KINDNESS: The best social program is voluntarily assisting someone because it’s the right thing to do- NOT because a proverbial ( sometimes LITERAL government gun is pointed at your head! )
These five principles can be practiced by a five foot White Republican woman or a six foot Black Democratic man.
Principles over pigmentation; political party or persuasion is what I’m preaching MORE THAN EVER as Campaign 2012 revs up.
That’s why I’m Cap Black, Black Life Superhero For Everybody because no matter what ship you may have arrived to America in- we’re ALL in the same boat now!

Brothers and sisters I hope you don’t confuse press conferences designed to scare White folks with doing something about Black folks American condition?
Hate speech is a constitutionally protected right but why should WE ever use it after all the hate our people endured? No matter how stacked the deck; how rigged the game and nor how crooked the dealer is running around scaring White folks all we can do in the 21st Century???

I’ve been to some of your events and meetings where I’m from because as a free man I need to judge for myself what’s going on in my community.
 
I’m all for lawful self-defense and creating businesses in our unsafe, impoverished neighborhoods.
That much at least in theory we agree with. It’s the Afro-centric George Lincoln Rockwell ( late American Nazi party founder ) theatrics that we differ on.

Outside of scaring the hell out of most Black folks, let alone White counterparts, what is all this costumed tough talk accomplishing?
I fight Black-on-Black crime; hunger and homelessness- beside anyone, of any color with the same priorities.

Blaming White folks while ignoring our daily national body count is dishonest… and played out.

Chocolate Klansmen in Black skin are hunting down our people more than all the classic Klansmen; racist cops and wanna-be vigilantes combined. Where are your press conferences and calls for bounties when we kill each other?
Our literal life and death struggle is more with people resembling us than hateful outsiders.

When Black power means acting like a Nubian nazi could me out.

Declaw yourselves from White people’s back and stop blaming them all the time for all our problems.

Regularly scheduled broadcasts say who’s killing Black folks the most.
THIS revolution is televised- and on line.

IS VIGILANTISM ONLY OPTION IN DANGEROUS LIBERAL-LED CITIES?

At the back of my mind as I go about my anti-crime activism is a very serious question.It’s as serious as Bernhard Goetz fusillade years ago which forever labeled him, “The Subway Vigilante. ”

It’s as serious as the hundreds of thousand’s of Pay Pal-donated dollars to George Zimmerman’s legal defense fund while prosecution for killing Trayvon Martn unfolds. 


This serious question ask, ” Is vigilantism the only option in liberal-led cities where street criminals rule and citizens suffer? “
Lest you think this inquiry biased here are some Black examples:

In the 1980s a man named Samuel Mohammed torched a crack house he couldn’t get police to shut own.
Members of the late Yahweh Ben Yahweh Hebrew Israelite sect manhandled crack dealers out of run down neighborhoods they renovated.
Democrats govern the majority of America’s unsafe cities.
While unfair to assume these mayors and governing bodies have remote controls to use against criminals it’s wondering  if embattled citizens should take the law in their own hands and take their chances in court afterwards?
Some predict Black citizens could one day select vigilantism as a new, troubling form of civil disobedience. This presupposes a civil right movement the likesof which America has never seen: Black citizens breaking the law to save themselves from community criminals???
In the face of more thug violence and less safety in liberal-led cities this question, disturbing as it is, needs to be asked.
Some theorize our male civil rights model may morph into Black versions of Bernhard Goetz and George Zimmerman. Dismiss it as revenge fantasy or embrace it as futurism elected leaders of liberal-led cities will find their hands quite full.
If they rush to imprison these vigilantes it will be fair to ask why they couldn’t do the same to ever-present thugs and gangs?
Hopefully this scenario will never come to pass.

HAPPY WARRIORS ARE NECESSARY

America needs boring good guys and gals  (  ” happy warriors ” ) who preach civic duty; good citizenship and other equally boring topics as cultural counter balance to exciting messengers promoting ever-more self indulgent; destructive behavior.
Comic book fiction is replete with creative solid citizen types who advocated this boring message while facing down a mind-numbing array of opponents doing the opposite.
Adam West Batman was my generation’s prime spokesman for creative support of good citizenship.


Long before the grim ” Dark Knight ” depiction became vogue Batman was an exceptional good guy who could have been a Kiwanis club or American Legion member in disguise.
Life is harsh and we shouldn’t sugar coat it to children or ourselves.
But we do need happy warriors to remind us that there is something to be happy about even as headlines and personal challenges argue otherwise.
Happy warriors like the late Jack Kemp come to mind whose famously inclusive vision of conservatism wowed friend and foe alike.

Or Wally ” Famous ” Amos who made a fortune off chocolate chip cookies only to have his brand name and wealth taken from him. Through it, he never
stopped smiling or encouraging others to do the same.




Comedian/philanthropist Bill Cosby occupies a special place as a happy warrior who doesn’t use profanity and whose demand that Black folks do better is said with malice but with the same love which has animated his career.

The final happy warrior is a friend who calls himself the Silver Sentinel. Selfless to a fault even his super hero activist name resulted

from helping someone, in this instance his child by giving her a hero all her own.  He’s always on call for others.

Happy warriors like these remind us there are boring but necessary values worth defending even at times when feeling happy anout is the last thing on our minds.
